Columbus Grove, Ohio Mandy Christina Halker, 40, of Columbus Grove, died on Friday, April 24, 2020, at Mount Carmel Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. She was born in Lima, Ohio on August 19, 1979, to Michael E. and Pamela M. (Rosengarten) Halker, who survive in Columbus Grove. Mandy is survived by her daughter, Alexia "Lexie" Grace Jenkins, who was truly the light of Mandy's life. She is also survived by a brother, Mickey James Halker; her identical twin sister, Melissa Marie Halker, both of Columbus Grove and her nieces and nephews, McKenzie (fiancée Adam Meyer) Halker, Morgan Halker, Trevan Halker and Madden Halker, all of Columbus Grove. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Ruth Rosengarten of Glandorf; her aunts and uncles, Debra (Toby) Donaldson, Tim (Corrine) Rosengarten, Ted (Carol) Rosengarten, James (Dianna) Halker, Dennis Halker, Gary (Lisa) Halker, Greg (Shirley) Halker, Mark (Cindy) Halker, Rick (Joyce) Halker, Linda (Jeff) Glorioso and Pam (Ron) Keysor, along with many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James "Jack" Rosengarten, and James J. and Ida Mae "Daisy" Halker and her aunts Janelda Halker and Sherry Halker. Mandy was a graduate of Columbus Grove High School, class of 1998, attended Sinclair University and Brown Mackie College. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Columbus Grove. She was an aide to the elderly and had a special gift and loved to care for them. She had the biggest, kindest heart and just a truly special person who loved life, her daughter and family. Mandy loved spending time on the beach in Florida and was lucky enough to travel with her family to some truly lovely locations. Her smile and warmth will be missed by all who knew and loved Mandy. Services will begin at 2:30 pm, on Friday, May 1, 2020 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Columbus Grove. Father David Ritchie will officiate, with burial to follow in St. Anthony Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 to 2:30 pm, prior to the services at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alexia Jenkins Educational Fund, c/o The Union Bank Company. Online condolences may be expressed at hartmansonsfuneralhome.com.
