Life---The Constant Struggle For Survival(By T.J. Riegle)War-Peace, Love-Hate, Birth-Death---trying to survive it all,Even though (deep down) we know we’re all terminal. We exercise then flex, we primp then pose---all in vainAs age robs the physical beauty we seek to obtain. Is it really worth all the unnecessary fussAs the body slowly breaks down and abandons us?Quitters say, “Why bother? It isn’t worth the strife.â€Fighters fight the good fight, the quest for life.Christians are fighters, and prayer warriors too,As they try to defeat each foe life throws in front of you.Staunch fortitude serves as an inspiration to someTo run life’s race….as if it can be won.But let’s not lose sight of the more important goals---What God has in-store for His most faithful souls. The real race is not a matter of the distance run.Rather, it is all about acceptance of the Father’s Son.I have no doubt Mandy realized all of this by now.She is in good hands after taking a final bow.In the meantime, march onward until your own final curtain falls.Continue to fight the good fight until the Saviour calls.“Onward Christian soldier marching as to warWith the cross of Jesus going on before.â€
Many prayers for your family at this time and going forward on this journey. May you find some comfort in God’s promises that we will be reunited with our loved ones again; and some Peace from the beautiful memories that you will have forever in your hearts.
Sending my sympathy to Mandy's family. I will be keeping you all in my prayers.
Mike and Pam, I am so very sorry for your loss. Having lost a child myself, I know you and your family will be forever changed. This unimaginable journey is just beginning and you may feel like you just won't make it through this. But, you will. You can and you will. Just take one hour at a time. If you brushed your teeth today, you are doing great! Please don't hesitate to reach out to me if you need resources or just a shoulder to lean on in the dark pit of grieving a child. Prayerfully, Kim
