I recall George as a friend of our family when I was a child growing up at the Ada Airport. George always seemed to have a pleasant smile and lightearted demeanor. Even as a youngster I could sense he was respected and enjoyed by my father and uncles as they exchanged flying stories and laughs. In recent later years, I had the pleasure of talking with him a couple times when I was flying with my Uncle Glen, and it was so good to see a familiar face from my childhood as we shared some memories of the "old days" at the Ada Airport. George, you've taken wing on your best flight of all! Katie - thank you for sharing George with us.

What a pleasant man. We loved it when George would slide in to store on his motorbike for refueling with his dog in a milk crate. We were not sure who enjoyed it more, was it George, or the dog.
