Columbus Grove, Ohio Walter F. Kleman, age 81, died at 4:15 a.m., on Monday, November 16, 2015, at Meadows of Kalida. He was born on May 29, 1934 in Glandorf, Ohio to August and Emma (Palte) Kleman. They both preceded him in death. Recently celebrating 50 years of marriage, Walter and Helen (Crosby) had been married on October 16, 1965. She survives in Columbus Grove. Survivors include three sons: Michael (Joanna) Kleman of Bowling Green, Dennis and Steve Kleman both of Columbus Grove; one daughter: Kathy (Jeff) Hoyt of Columbus Grove; four grandchildren: Danielle (Christopher) Marshall, Brad Hoyt, Timothy Kleman and Dana Kleman; two great grandchildren; three sisters: Lucille Ricker of Ottawa, Marilyn "Mick" Kohls of Columbus Grove and Julie (Gordon) DePree of West Olive, MI; and one sister in-law: Dorothy Kleman. He was preceded in death by one brother: Wilfred Kleman and two sisters: Alice Miller and Velma Diemer. Walter had helped with the family farm and he also worked and retired from Philips formerly of Ottawa. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Columbus Grove. He liked to garden, work around the yard, enjoyed going to horse pulling contests, a fan of Columbus Grove track and field and was also a Boston Red Socks fan. Walter was a great fan of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at St. Anthony Church. Rev. Tom Extejt will officiating. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Church Cemetery, Columbus Grove. Friends may call from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. A Rosary service will be at the close of visitation on Tuesday evening. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony School Endowment Fund, 520 Sycamore Street, Columbus Grove, Ohio 45830. Online condolences may be expressed at hartmansonsfuneralhome.com.
