Virginia Selhorst Obituary
Columbus Grove Virginia C. Selhorst, 88, died at 8:30 a.m. July 11, 2011, at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora. She was born Nov. 9, 1922, in Leipsic to Henry and Anna Haselman Wyant, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 4, 1950, she married Leroy J. Selhorst, who died Feb. 26, 2007. Mrs. Selhorst was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Leipsic High School. She had worked at Westinghouse Electric Corp., Lima. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Columbus Grove, and its Altar Rosary Society. She enjoyed following all of her grandchildren's activities. Survivors include two sons, Mark (Cindy) Selhorst and Gary (Ann) Selhorst, both of Columbus Grove; a brother, George (Evelyn) Wyant, of Columbus Grove; two sisters, Imogene Kahle, of Kalida, and Cleo (Rex) Gambrel, of Columbus; a sister-in-law, Mary Wyant; and five grandchildren, Matthew, Jenna, Kimberly, John and Elizabeth Selhorst. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Gordon, Don, Gilbert and Othmar Wyant; and three sisters, Hildegarde Unterbrink, Ardella Mershman and Carmeleta Wyant. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Columbus Grove. Father Thomas Extejt will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, where a Scripture service will be held at 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hilty Memorial Home or St. Anthony School.
