Virginia Risser Obituary
Columbus Grove, Ohio Virginia B. Risser, formerly of Vaughnsville, Ohio, 96, died at 1:30 a.m., Thursday, February 5, 2015 at The Meadows of Kalida, Kalida, Ohio. She was born on October 12, 1918, in Big Bend, West Virginia, to William E. and Iva (Freed) Rogers, they both preceded her in death. She was married to Robert R. Risser, and he preceded her in death, on October 2, 1982. Mrs. Risser was a retiree from the State Hospital, Lima, Ohio. Virginia always loved gardening, both flowers and vegetables. As she really enjoyed canning her own produce. She is survived by three sons: Roger Risser, Birmingham, AL; John Risser, Lima, Ohio and James (Toni Morello) Risser, Knoxville, TN; one daughter: Leah (Steven) Lammers, Canton, GA; eight grandchildren: Jon Hunter Risser, Amanda (Scott) Montes, Elizabeth (Daniel) Bischoff, Eric (Michelle) Lammers, Kevin (Meagan) Lammers, Wesley (Linda) Cox, Robbie Cox, Amy (Neil) Koeter; ten great grandchildren; one sister in-law: Deloris Rogers, Akron, OH and a son in-law: Daniel Hill, Wapakoneta, OH. Virginia was preceded in death by a daughter: Carolyn Sue Hill; two sisters: Wilfred Davis and Flotilla "Dot" Swisher; and two brothers: Virgil Rogers and William E. "Billy" Rogers. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 9, 2015, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home. Pastor Rich Rakay will officiate. Burial will follow in Vaughnsville Cemetery, Vaughnsville, Ohio.
