Pandora, Ohio Vickie L. Shoemaker, age 59, died Saturday, September 17, 2016 at The James Cancer Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. She was born on December 2, 1956, in Lima, Ohio, to H. Dale and Carol J. (Renner) Renner. They both preceded her in death. On April 27, 1979, she married Randal L. Shoemaker. He survives in Pandora. Vickie is survived by a daughter Miranda (Ryan) Morgan of Powell, Ohio; three grandchildren: Mya, and twins Ava and Ella; four sisters: Kaylene Renner and Lisa (Rick) Maag both of Columbus Grove, Christina Renner of Blue Springs, MO and Angela (Tony) Craig of Norfolk, VA; one brother Kenneth (Dana) Renner of Lima; one sister in-law: Cynthia (Glen) Stechschulte of Columbus Grove and one brother in-law: Mark (Karen) Shoemaker of Pandora. Vickie was a graduate of Columbus Grove High School, class of 1975, then studied at BGSU and graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Education. She was a substitute teacher with the Putnam County Schools and taught at the O-G Elementary School for 18 years. She attended the Pandora United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and extended family. She also enjoyed gardening. Vickie had a passion for educating children. She volunteered as a tutor and always gave gifts of books to all of the children in her family. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2016, at the Pandora United Methodist Church, with Pastor Duane Kemerley officiating. Friends and family may call from 3:00-5:00 and 6:00-8:00p.m., on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Memorial contributions may be made to Pandora United Methodist Church or the James Cancer Hospital & Solove Research Institute, 460 W. 10th Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43210.
