Although we've known Vernie all our lives, it was when we had the chance to travel with him and Delores that we truly got to appreciate his great sense of humor and learn what a kind, thoughtful man he was. It didn't take much coaxing and he would recite "There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Fly" to the bus full of old folks just like us. So sorry to hear about Vernon. He was a good friend. I will miss going to eat out together. We had a lot of fun and laughs over the years. He will be missed. The family has my condolences.
