Velma Diemer Obituary
Columbus Grove, Ohio Velma M. Diemer, 83, died at 9:22 pm on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Lima Memorial Hospital, Lima, Ohio. She was born on January 30, 1932, in Glandorf, Ohio to August and Emma (Palte) Kleman. They both preceded her in death. On October 15. 1960, she married Sylvester John Diemer, who also preceded her in death. Mrs. Diemer was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Columbus Grove and the Alter Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Glandorf St. John's C.L.C. Mrs. Diemer enjoyed flowers and gardening, playing cards, and collecting angels. Velma is survived by two daughters: Lynda Delgado, Summerville, SC and Margaret Diemer, Defiance; one brother: Walter (Helen) Kleman, Columbus Grove; three sisters: Lucille Ricker, Miller City, Marilyn "Mick" Kohls, Columbus Grove, and Julie (Gordon) DePree, West Olive, MI; two sisters-in-law Dorothy Kleman, Ottawa and Lucy Geiser, Holgate; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother: Wilfred Kleman; one sister: Alice (Elmo) Miller; and two brothers-in-law: Melvin Ricker and Virgil Kohls. Friends may call from 2:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am Thursday, May 28, 2015 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Columbus Grove, with Father Tom Extejt officiating. Following the Funeral Luncheon, burial will take place in the New Bavaria Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Anthony's School Endowment Fund.
