Columbus Grove, Ohio Sallie L. Garberson, 75, died 7:38 a.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2014, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay, Ohio. She was born on September 30, 1939 in Columbus Grove, to Harold and Lucille (Miller) Irwin, who preceded her in death. On March 8, 1957, she married Robert D. "Bob" Garberson, and he survives in Columbus Grove. Mrs. Garberson was a graduate of Columbus Grove High School, class of 1957. She had worked for 29 years at Philips Corporation, formerly in Ottawa, from which she retired. Sallie was a member of the former United Church of Christ, Columbus Grove. She enjoyed traveling, craft work and especially spending time with her family. She is survived by two sons: Bruce (Jodi) Garberson and Mark (Jane) Garberson, Columbus Grove; three daughters: Lucinda Nienberg, Columbus Grove, Christina Garberson, Los Angeles, CA and Dalinda (Steve Balmas) Donaldson, Columbus Grove; one sister: Frances (Bill) McDowell, Columbus Grove; eleven grandchildren: Nicholas, Christopher (Tammy), Samantha, Mark, Cassie (Dominick), Jaimie, Kyle, Brandon, Carrie, Megan, McKenzie and Molly (best Doggie ever!); five great grandchildren: Sean, Cheyenne, Keaton, Alayna and Logan. Sallie was preceded in death by a son in-law: Ricky Nienberg; one sister: Mary (Colt) Hughes; two brothers: Charles Irwin and infant Homer Irwin. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 1, 2014, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, with Pastor Dave Thompson officiate. Burial will follow in Altstaetter Cemetery, Cairo, Ohio. Friends may call on Friday, October 31, 2014, from 2:00-8:00 p.m., at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove.
