I'm so sorry for your loss! I got to know Ruth while I was in high school. I never took Home Ec in HS (my Jr. High home ec teacher ruined that for me!), but I sang with Ruth in the church choir for many years. Ruth was kind and was very encouraging to me. She had a way of seeing the best in every person, and made you want to be who she thought you really were. She was a wonderful woman, and I'm sure she's had a tremendous influence on your family.
