Ross Hartman Obituary
Ross E Hartman, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at St. Rita’s hospital in Lima, Ohio. Ross was born in Columbus Grove, Ohio on May 1, 1938, to James L Hartman and Millie (Ecklar) Hartman who preceded him in death. On June 14, 1958 he married Teresa Clum.
Ross is survived by his wife, Teresa (Clum) Hartman, son Randy (Lori) Hartman, daughter Karen (William) Garberson, grandchildren Adam (Katy) Garberson and Ryan (Ashley) Garberson, and six great grandchildren Corbin Garberson, Wyatt Gaberson, Everett Garberson, Rylynn Garberson, Sawyer Garberson, and Taylor Garberson. Ross was preceded in death by his sisters and brother-in-laws Ruby and Elmer DeRammaleare, Ruth and Willis Wright, and his twin sister and brother-in-law Rose and Roy Dotson.
Ross was a retiree of General Dynamics and the Columbus Grove Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of the Cairo United Methodist Church where he served as a past trustee. In 1986, Ross began collecting and showing old cars, and won numerous trophies as a result. He loved spending time with his friends and family, and could be found spending time at Jerry’s catching up on worldly affairs with all the guys. Ross also enjoyed spending past winters in Florida.
Visitation for Ross will be held at Hartman Sons Funeral Home in Columbus Grove, Ohio on Sunday, December 17, 2023 from 4pm until 8pm. Additional visitation will be held at Hartman Sons Funeral Home on Monday, December 18, 2023 from 10am until 11am. Funeral will begin at 11am with Pastor Thomas Holmes presiding.
