Columbus Grove, Ohio Rosemary Maag, age 83, died at 2:50 p.m., on Friday, July 3, 2015, at The Meadows of Ottawa, Ottawa, Ohio. She was born October 4, 1931, in Toledo, Ohio to Clarence and Henrietta (Ilg) Diemer, who preceded her in death. On June 16, 1954, Rosemary married Urban "Urby" A. Maag, who survives in Columbus Grove, Ohio. Mrs. Maag was a graduate of Leipsic St. Mary's School and Leipsic High School. Rosemary was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, the Altar Rosary Society and the Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxillary, Post 516 and the VFW Auxillary, Post 9648, both of Columbus Grove. She had worked for the Triplett Corporation, Bluffton, and was a homemaker. She loved to sew, knit, play cards, work puzzles and take care of her grandkids. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her most favorite thing was her family, especially her children and grandchildren. When it was discovered that Rosemary had Alzheimer's, she and Urby traveled the world together, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Also surviving in addition to her husband, Urby, are three sons: Greg (Debra) Maag, Keith (Brenda) Maag both of Ottawa and Alan Maag of Columbus Grove; two daughters: Barbara Maag of Columbus Grove and Cindy (Scott) Stant of Pandora; five grandsons: Alex Maag of Dayton, Curtis Maag of Columbus, Eric (Jamie) Maag of Cincinnati, Steven Maag of Bellefontaine and Justin Maag of Ottawa; four granddaughters: Casey Stant of Pandora, Emily (Joshua) Woodard of Copperas Cove, Texas, Amy Maag of Columbus and Michelle Maag of Ottawa; three great granddaughters; one step great grandson; and a sister: Alice Jane Bendure of Bryan, Ohio. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Maag; a brother Erwin Diemer; and a sister Rita Kiene. Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Columbus Grove, with Father Tom Extejt officiating. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery, Columbus Grove. Friends may call on Monday, July 6, 2015, from 2:00-8:00 p.m., at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. A Rosary Service will be conducted by the Altar Rosary Society at the close of visitation. The family would like to say "Thank You" to the staff of The Meadows for their loving care provided for our wife, mother and grandmother.
