Vaughnsville, Ohio Ronald Wayne Roberts, 79, died Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at Lima Memorial Health System. He was born November 27, 1939, in Weston, Ohio to Wayne and Viola (Reynolds) Roberts. They both preceded him in death. On October 13, 1962, he married Iona Johnson, she preceded him in death on July 7, 2016. Ron is survived by two daughters: Kim (Bill) Young of Vaughnsville and April Roof of Columbus Grove; five grandchildren: Billy (Amy) Young, Megan Roof, Hannah Roof, Lisa (Jeremy) Heffelfinger and Cecila Young; eight great grandchildren: Boston, Braydin, Jaxin, Emma, Jacob, Seth, Malachi and Grace; and one brother: Raymond (Norma) Roberts of Grand Rapids, Ohio. He was preceded in death by one brother, James Roberts and one sister, Bonnie Jean Roberts. Ron served in the U.S. Navy. He had worked at Ford Motor Company, Lima Engine Plant for 30 years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Arie #370 and the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge #199, both of Lima. Joint graveside services for Ron and Iona will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 2, 2019, at Vaughnsville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lima Memorial Foundation.
