Columbus Grove, Ohio Roland L. "Rollie" Renner, 91, died at 5:40 am, on Saturday, February 18, 2017, at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora, Ohio. He was born February 10, 1926, to Edgar and Mabel (McVay) Renner. They both preceded him in death. He is survived by two nieces: Connie (George) Ricker of Columbus Grove and Karen (Ron) Schindler of Cairo; one nephew: Robert (Sue) Renner of Brookhaven, MS; seven grand- nieces and nephews; and 13 great grand nieces and nephews. Rollie was preceded in death by two brothers: Wilbur E. (Eleanor) and Don E. (Evelyn) Renner. A graduate of Columbus Grove High School, class of 1944 and Warners Beauty College, Ft. Wayne, in 1947, Rollie owned and operated the Charm Center Beauty Shop in Columbus Grove, since 1958, retiring exactly 50 years to the date, on November 29, 2008. He had been a cook and managed various restaurants, including Miller's Ice Cream in Ft. Wayne, IN and Williams Restaurant in Columbus Grove. He had also worked for many years as a greeter at Hartman Sons Funeral Home. Rollie was a member of the Columbus Grove Christian Church, where he had been Sunday School Superintendent for 35 years, a member of the Church Choir and had served as a Deacon of the Church. He was a member and had held every office of the Columbus Grove Lions Club, including President four times. He was also a former member of the Columbus Grove Eagle's, Aerie #2772. Services will begin at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at the Columbus Grove Christian Church. Pastor Geoff Eubank will officiate with burial to follow in Truro Cemetery, Columbus Grove, Ohio. Family and Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00pm, on Monday February 20, 2017, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Columbus Grove Lions Club, Columbus Grove Christian Church or Donor's Choice. Online condolences may be expressed at hartmansonsfuneralhome.com.
