COLUMBUS GROVE Robert E. “Pinky” Wiswell, 87, died at 11:30 a.m. Jan. 17, 2013, at St. Rita’s Medical Center. He was born Aug. 18, 1925, in Lima to Robert C. and Dessie Bacome Wiswell, who preceded him in death. On Aug. 24, 1946, he married Helen Myers, who survives. Mr. Wiswell attended Lima Central High School. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Europe and Japan. He retired from Landmark Feed/CountryMark, Lima, after more than 40 years. Following his retirement, he worked at Lugibill Florist, Columbus Grove, for 13 years. He had been a member of Christian Union Church, Vaughnsville. He was a member of American Legion Post 516, Columbus Grove. He enjoyed his children and grandchildren and attending their sporting events. Survivors also include a son, Danny (Renee) Wiswell, of Ottawa; three daughters, Linda (David) Jolliff and Patricia Moening, both of Columbus Grove, and Pamela (Jim) Zerkel, of Vaughnsville; brothers- and sister-in-law, the Rev. William Myers, Marilyn (Paul) Diller and Allan (Haiyan) Myers; 14 grandchildren, Lynn Elsberry, Craig Wiswell, Cory (Lori) Wiswell, Anita (Eli) Thompson, Brian (Holly) Zarse, Robin Zarse, Chad (Jennifer) Moening, Tara (Woody) Roberts, Kiley Mault, Cody (Abby Irwin) Moening, Amy (Jim Nunn) Miller, Andrea (Jake) Grohoske, Jessica (Chris Baxter) Zerkel and Joni Zerkel; 25 great-grandchildren, with two more on the way; and 11 stepgrandchildren and 13 stepgreat-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Wiswell. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Pastor Gary Fish will officiate. Burial will be in Vaughnsville Cemetery, with military rites. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
