Robert Lee Desota, Jr's Obituary
Robert Lee DeSota, Jr., 69, of Bluffton, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Kindred Hospital. He was born on August 27, 1956, to Robert DeSota, Sr. and the late Bertha (Sigler) DeSota. On September 8, 1979, he married Candy Bok.
Bob graduated from Bath High School, Class of 1975. He was a boiler operator at Chemtrade Logistics, Cairo until his retirement in 2018. He enjoyed landscaping, the outdoors, fishing in Canada and model cars. He was also a big supporter of the Band Boosters and served as a past president.
He is also survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Candy; daughters, Amanda DeSota, Kayla (Chad Tousley) Utrup and Brittany (Wesley Geahlen) Brown; grandchildren, Lexi Utrup, Trey Tousley, Colton Utrup, Emmy Brown, Ryker Tousley, Peyton Geahlen, Noah DeSota and Carter Geahlen; sister, Kim DeSota and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services will be held Friday, July 31, 2026, at Cairo East Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday, July 30, 2026, form 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Hartman-Rousculp Community Funeral Home, 10879 State Route 12, Columbus Grove.
