Richard Brown's Obituary
Richard “Dick” Brown, 83, of Columbus Grove, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. He was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio to the late Carol and Gertrude (Garwood) Brown.
He graduated from Bellefontaine High School. Dick was very hardworking and was employed by Whirlpool, Teledyne Ohio Steel, JCPenney, and Neon Products. He loved hunting, attending gun shows and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the Tri State Gun Collectors, Maumee Valley Gun Collectors, Mt. Blanchard Gun Club and The Ohio Gun Collectors Association. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the VFW Auxiliary.
He was the beloved father of Beth (Dean) Taylor; loving grandfather to Claire (Ryan Miller) Taylor and Elliott Taylor; devoted brother to Marty Brown, Katie (Adam) Oatman, Sheree (Ron) Knippen, and Debbie (Dave) Dunlap; cherished uncle to his nieces and nephews; and special friend to Patsy Smith. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Dee (Mike) Miracle, and brother, Ronnie (Connie) Brown.
Family and Friends are invited to celebrate his life on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Hartman-Rousculp Community Funeral Home, 10879 State Route 12, Columbus Grove. Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Hartman-Rousculp Community Funeral Home. Nephew Ryan Dunlap will be the officiant.
