Richard Marvin Beidelschies' Obituary
Richard Marvin Beidelschies, 87, of Columbus Grove, Ohio, passed away on August 4, 2026. He was born on February 21, 1939, in Lima, Ohio to the late Lester and Naomi (Gatchel) Beidelschies. On December 2, 1961, he married Ruth Ann Carpenter, who survives.
Richard was a 1957 graduate of Lima Senior High. He worked for Teledyne Ohio Steel for 33 years and Lima City Schools for 12 years. After retirement he enjoyed playing golf at Bluffton Golf Club and Hidden Creek Golf Club and playing cards. He loved spending time with family, watching comedies and was known for his one-liners.
Richard is survived by his children Charles (Julia) Beidelschies, Steven Beidelschies and Linda (Mark) Mahlmeister; grandchildren, Ethan Beidelschies and Seth Mahlmeister. He was preceded in death by sisters, Florence (Bill) Shaffer and Arlene (Dale) Copus.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, August 10, 2026, at Hartman-Rousculp Community Funeral Home, 10879 State Route 12, Columbus Grove with visitation one hour prior (12:00 am - 1:00 pm). Visitation is also on Sunday, August 9, 2026, from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Hartman-Rousculp Community Funeral Home. Pastor Jason Knight officiating. Burial to follow at Truro Cemetery, Columbus Grove.
