Phyllis Joan Verhoff's Obituary
Phyllis J. Verhoff, 96, of Columbus Grove, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at The Meadows of Kalida. She was born on October 11, 1929, to the late Lester and Luta Pearl (Beemer) Everitt. On September 8, 1951, she married Robert W. Verhoff who preceded her in death.
Phyllis was a graduate of Columbus Grove High School, Class of 1947 and was a member of St. John's Community Church. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, putting puzzles together and watching Jeopardy. She loved to go out with her sisters for dinner. Phyllis was a great babysitter to many children.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews and in-laws, Martha Steele, Richard (Jacqui) Verhoff and George (Johneen) Verhoff. She is preceded in death by siblings, Maxine (Clyde) Anderson, Ralph (Juanita) Everitt, Lenore (Kenneth) Gratz, Otis (Reta) Everitt and Treva (Noland) Eversole, Wilma (Charles) Lora; in-laws, Judy (Lowell) Steele, Theodore (Eloise) Verhoff, Joseph (Gladys) Verhoff, James (Phyllis) Verhoff and Madalyn (George) Donaldson.
