Phillip Max George's Obituary
Phillip Max George, 84, of Mount Cory, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026, in Findlay, Ohio. Born in Daviess County, Indiana, he was the son of the late Opal and Nina (Alderson) George. He is survived by son, Terry (Renae) George; stepdaughter, Lynn (Deb Asmstutz) George; grandsons, Caleb and Luke George. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Elisabeth George; stepdaughter, Ann George; siblings, John George, Carol George, Janet Caraco, Barb McGee, and Helen Stimmel. Phil retired in 2002 from CSX Railroad after 41 years. He enjoyed motorcycle rides and primitive camping with his wife Elisabeth. He also had an appreciation for weapons. In his later years he would enjoy seeing his friends at the Columbus Grove American Legion, VFW, and the Eagles. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions can be made to the VFW, American Legion, and Eagles in Columbus Grove.
