COLUMBUS GROVE Paul N. Hitchcock, 82, died at 11:35 p.m. Jan. 8, 2013, at Lima Memorial Health Systems. He was born April 28, 1930, in Columbus Grove to William P. and Anna Belle Shinaberry Hitchcock, who preceded him in death. On Sept. 2, 1950, he married Daisy “Dolly” Renner, who survives. Mr. Hitchcock grew up working in the family business, Plainview Dairy, Columbus Grove. He was a truck driver, retiring from Scot Lad Foods, Lima, and Terra International, Pandora. He drove school bus for Columbus Grove schools. He was a member of Methodist Church, Columbus Grove. He was a member of Rufus Putnam Masonic Lodge 364, Columbus Grove, and was a 32nd Degree of the Scottish Rite Valley of Toledo. He was a member of Teamsters Local 908, Lima. Paul enjoyed traveling, going to the Indy 500, was a fan of The Ohio State University Buckeyes and especially enjoyed his grandchildren. Survivors also include two sons, Richard Hitchcock, of Lima, and William O. (Lori) Hitchcock, of Columbus Grove; three daughters, Janie Font, of Ottawa, and Paula Sue (Garry) Wymer and Susan (Randy) Corson, both of Columbus Grove; three sisters, Alice Cecsarini, of Southport, Conn., Ruth (Richard) Moser, of Fort Smith, Ark., and Jean (Richard) Thomas, of Winnobow, N.C.; a sister-in-law, Rosemarie Hitchcock, of Columbus Grove; a brother-in-law, Keith Edwards, of Columbus Grove; and 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Hitchcock; a sister, Virginia Edwards; and a son-in-law, George Font III. Private family services will be held at a later date. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Memorial contributions may be made to Putnam Home Health Care or Lima Memorial Home Health Care.
