Paul Henderson, 80, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at the Cardinal Retirement Village, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He was born near Columbus Grove, on May 25, 1933, to Lubert and Margaret (Ramsey) Henderson, and they preceded him in death. On April 25, 1953, he married Maxine E. Meyer, who died on July 27, 2000. He attended Columbus Grove High School, graduating in 1952. Mr. Henderson was co-owner of Begg Implement Co., Columbus Grove. He had been a sales representative for the DeHaven Garden Center and Klay Supply, both in Lima. He was a member of the Ohio Nurseryman’s Association. Paul was a life long member of the Columbus Grove First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his son, Doug (Sherry) Henderson, Stow, Ohio; grand-daughters Dawn (Jeff) Henderson-Davis, Ft. Wayne, Indiana; Leslie (Matt) Aubrey, Gibsonton, Florida; Abbey McCrate, Los Angeles, California; three great-grandchildren and son in-law; Kelley (Cheryl) McCrate, Columbus Grove. In addition to his wife, Maxine, of 48 years, his daughter, Kimberly McCrate and sister Louise Schueler preceded him in death. Services will be Wednesday, 11:00 A. M. at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, the Rev. Harry Tolhurst officiating. Burial will be in Osborne Cemetery, near Columbus Grove. Friends may call at the funeral home, Tuesday, from 2:00 until 4:00 and 6:00 until 8:00 P. M. Special thanks to the caregivers at Hilty Memorial Home, Cardinal Retirement Village, and Western Reserve Hospice. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Columbus Grove.
