Paul Everitt Obituary
Paul B. Everitt, age 80, passed away on October 29, 2024, at Patton’s Place, the Veterans Administration Community Living Center in Dayton, Ohio. Paul was born to Emmitt E. and Mary (Teegardin) Everitt on September 1, 1944 in Lima, Ohio, both of whom preceded him in death.
Paul was a graduate of Columbus Grove High School, and while he was there he was an accomplished musician and manager of the Columbus Grove Swimming Pool. He then attended the Ohio State University where he marched with the Ohio State marching band. He was a graduate of Northwestern Business College in Lima. He proudly served his country in Vietnam and spent the latter years of his life being cared for at the Veterans Administration campus in Dayton, Ohio. He often spoke fondly with an acute memory of the community members and classmates he knew at Columbus Grove.
Paul is survived by his twin sister Paula (Ron) Basinger of Naperville, Illinois, a daughter Lois (Eric Miller) Everitt, in Marysville; a son Seth (Megan) Everitt of Galena. He is also survived by five grandchildren Nora (Trent) Thompson, Olivia Miller, Dylan Everitt, Natalie Everitt, and Trenton Everitt; and one great granddaughter Georgia Thompson. Paul was preceded in death by his brother Ronald Everitt and an adopted brother Leonard (Charlotte) Heffner (both deceased).
Friends may call on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 10:00 am - Noon at Hartman funeral home. Funeral service will begin at noon with Father David Ritchie presiding. Burial to follow in the Cairo Eastside Cemetery, Cairo, Ohio.
