VAUGHNSVILLE Oliver W. Collar, 90, died at 7:40 p.m. Jan. 20, 2013, at St. Rita’s Medical Center. He was born July 15, 1922, in Vaughnsville to Robert W. and Hope Perry Collar, who preceded him in death. On Dec. 19, 1948, he married Patricia J. Decker, who died June 30, 2010. Mr. Collar was a farmer and had worked for Friden Business Machines, Lima. He was a live member of Rufus Putnam Lodge 364 Free & Accepted Masons, Columbus Grove, and a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370, Lima. He enjoyed playing cards. Survivors include a son, Cliffton D. (Joan) Collar, of Columbus Grove; a daughter, Robert J. Henderson, of Fort Myers, Fla.; a grandson, Erick (Kim) Collar, of Columbus Grove; and two great-grandchildren, Allyson and Erick Collar. There will be no services. The body has been donated to the University of Toledo Medical Center, Department of Research & Education. Memorial contributions may be made to the Vaughnsville Community Center. Condolences may be expressed at hartmansonsfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are by Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove.
