Columbus Grove, Ohio Nolan R. Diller, age 86, died at 6:20 p.m., on Sunday, January 17, 2016, at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora, Ohio. He was born on May 29, 1929, in Bluffton, Ohio to Dennis and Ella (Roethlisberger) Diller. They both preceded him in death. On October 8, 1955, he married Doris Stechschulte, who survives in Columbus Grove. He is survived by one daughter: Noleen (Dan) Snyder of Akron; four sons: Doug (Kathy) Diller of Perrysburg, Dean (Becky) Diller of Coldwater, Michigan, Wayne (Beth) Diller of Dublin and Mark (Joy) Diller of Columbus Grove; 15 grandchildren: Alex, Zach and Katie Snyder, Gina Gleissner, Ben Diller, Nichole Wright, Lindsey and Matt Woods, Meggan Weese, Caity Solari, Cory Diller, Ella Nickles, Cora, Tessa and Ly'nea Diller; three great grandchildren: Noah, Emma and Penelope; one brother: David (Mary) Diller of Columbus Grove and one sister: Marian Busick of Bluffton. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Harold, Howard and Wayne Diller. Mr. Diller was a graduate of Pandora High School. Nolan was an U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict. He had been self employed milk hauler, for the former Equity Dairy, Lima; a life long farmer and the owner of Diller Feed Services, for over 33 years. He was a member of St. Anthony Church and the Knights of Columbus Council #9788, Columbus Grove. He was a life member of the Bowers Slusser American Legion, Post #516, Columbus Grove and the Ottawa Eagles, Arie #2234. Nolan was a Baltimore Orioles and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He enjoyed watching all sports. He loved playing cards. His personality was best described as having humor to spare. The family would like to thank both the Hilty Memorial Home and Putnam County Hospice for their concern and outstanding care they provided for Nolan and our family. Mr. Diller's wish was for his body to be useful for medical study. To that purpose, an anatomical donation was made to the Wright State University, Boonshoft School of Medicine, Dayton, Ohio. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, January 21, 2016, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Columbus Grove, Ohio, Father Charles Obinwa will officiate. Friends may call from 2:00-8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, Ohio, with a Rosary Service at the end of the visitation.
