Columbus Grove, Ohio Michael R. Otto, age 73, died at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at Blanchard Valley Health System, Findlay. He was born on April 16, 1942, in Findlay, to Wilson Otto and Jennie Marguerite (Conine) Otto Hartman. They have both preceded him in death. On December 3, 1993, Michael married Charlene Gipson, and she survives in Columbus Grove, Ohio. He is also survived by four sons: Mike (Patty) Otto, II of Cairo, Harold Golden, Jr. of Columbus Grove, Craig (Vonda) Otto of Wapakoneta and Joshua Golden of Columbus Grove; five daughters: Karen (Kevin) Maas of Ottawa, Cathy (John) Bonifas of Delphos, Annett (Robert) Gander of Columbus Grove, Bobbi Sanchez of Columbus Grove and Patricia (Brett) Goodin of Lima; sixteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother: Patrick (Lois) Otto of Arizona and one sister: Margaret (Dean) Basinger of Pandora. He was preceded in death by a sister: Becky John and a granddaughter: Ashley Otto. Mr. Otto retired from the Ford Motor Company, Lima Engine Plant, after 28 years. He had served in the United States Navy from 1960-1964. Michael was a life member of both the American Legion, Post #63 and the VFW Post #9142, both of Ottawa. He was also a member of the Leipsic Hunting and Fishing Association. Michael loved fishing, hunting and football. Services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on October 5, 2015, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Columbus Grove. Father Tom Extejt will officate. Friends may call from 2:00 - 4:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m., on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
