Columbus Grove, Ohio Michael James Maag, age 72. died at 9:50 am, on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio. He was born on February 13, 1944, in Lima, to Edwin H. and Luella M. "Dottie" Maag. They both preceded him in death. Mr. Maag was a graduate of Columbus Grove High School, class of 1962. After graduation he entered the U.S. Army, stationed at Ft. Knox, KY. He had also served in Germany. When he returned from service, he had worked a at Johns-Mansfield, Defiance, then he worked for and retired from the Lima Electric Motor, Company, which became Marathon Electric. Mike really enjoyed gardening. He is survived by two brothers: Thomas Maag of Columbus Grove and Patrick Maag of Ottawa; and several nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by a brother Daniel Maag. Memorial services will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Deacon Jim Dunn will officiate. Military rites will be performed following the service at the funeral home. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until Noon, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home.
