Growing up in Columbus Grove has filled my childhood and early adulthood with so many incredible experiences and memories. One of my favorites would have to be going to Stewart's to shop for Easter and Christmas dresses. As soon as you entered the store you could count on seeing Mary K's warm smile to greet you. I remember my Mom and Grandma Hartman always having wonderful conversations with her. She always had such a brilliant smile, it just lit up the room. During our early childhood I know Amy and I found it very difficult to be patient while the dress selection was taking place. Mary K always found a way to amuse us and somehow making the process a little bit more enjoyable with her humor. Mary K was such a kind and gentle soul and I always looked forward to seeing her on our trips to Stewart's. My sympathy to her family for I know she will be very missed.
A candle was lit in remembrance
Mary Kathryn was our father’s first cousin and close, close friend for almost a full century. And my sisters—Shelley and Jamie Pierman—will remember always the lovely holiday dinners, visits to her nearby home and farm, and her happy disposition. Rest in Peace Mary Kathryn.
The staff of Putnam County Hospice sends our deepest sympathy for your loss. We will keep Mary and all her family and friends in our thoughts and prayers.
