So many memories of Mary Ellen. She was laughter and joy. Huge personality, you loved being around her. I am so happy that I was able to get together with her and Jeanne and Julie for lunch every now and then. My thoughts are with you Larry and the family. God bless you all at sad time.
To Larry and family, Â we are sorry for your loss. Â Mary Ellen brought joy to wherever she went.
We will miss Mary Ellen. We mostly saw her at Thanksgiving, and her presence was a highlight. She had a way of saying exactly what she thought, but in a kind way. Mary Ellen loved her family and her Buckeyes. She was joyful, boisterous, and welcoming to extended family and newbies. Our prayers for Larry and the family.
Wow, what a shock to hear...Mary Ellen was a part of 'me' since I was a toddler and she lived next door. She was my favorite baby sitter and our lives touched often. We last saw each other a couple years ago at the lenten fish fry in Kalida and had a nice visit. My love and sympathy to Larry, Natalie and Craig and all the loved ones. Mary Ellen was a rock and will be greatly missed. Watch over us........
Condolences to the family. So many memories from way back. Mary Ellen was loved dearly and will be so missed.Â
You wonderful person a great sister-in-law and a great aunt to my boys and blanket you made my granddaughter she just loves it to death. you will be missed.
I remember Mary speaking about the book of Philemon while filling in for Pastor Tom.She was amazed that from such a small book came such a large message. I remember thinking how genuine she was in her beliefs and in who she was. They're not to many genuine people in this world I will truly miss Her
She was the best boss ever. She always encouraged us to work hard and that she would try it first so that it was doable for the rest of us. She also allowed us to have fun at work and my favorite story is when one of our phlebotomist Rick talked the ER doctor into having a little fun on April 1st. We got a call in the laboratory and a special request that mary ellen go down and draw a patient. Little did she know that the patient was going to be somebody covered in a sheet howling like a dog. The ER doctor came in and said that it was a police dog that got shot and that we needed to save it. It needed its blood drawn and we needed you mary ellen to do it. In all her wisdom Mary Ellen said how about if I help you put it in the tubes and you draw it. As she’s preparing the tubes for the draw, lots of people were standing outside the room watching them as the doctor was yelling that he needed a CBC and he needed a transfusion and we were going to save this police dog. All of a sudden mary ellen turned around and looked at everyone and said is this an April fools joke. Of course it was and we all had a good laugh for many years over this little trick on her. She made us a fun little Lab family and made working 11-7 more enjoyable. RIP Mary Ellen and prayers for Larry and family. Jeanette Chiles
My sincere sympathy to Larry and family, as well as Nora and her family. I fondly remember Mary Ellen along with her beautiful smile while attending school in Vaughnsville. She had such a wonderful personality and nearly always had something to say to everyone. There is no doubt she will be dearly missed by many! May God bless and comfort the entire family as you go through this trying time. (GO BUCKS!!)Â
