Mary Morman Obituary
COLUMBUS GROVE — Mary Jane Morman, 72, died at 3:13 a.m. May 4, 2013, at Bridge Hospice, Findlay.
She was born Sept 8, 1940, in Glandorf to Albert and Marcella Meyer Wolke, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 10, 1959, she married James Morman, who survives.
Mrs. Morman was a graduate of Glandorf school. She was a homemaker and helped with the family farm. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Columbus Grove, and its Altar Rosary Society. She enjoyed and loved her family and especially liked attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. She was a polka dancer and a member of the Ohio Polka Boosters. She loved dogs and cats, especially Scottie, a yellow lab. She loved the family trips and gatherings throughout the years.
Survivors also include a son Thomas (Amy) Morman, of Columbus Grove; five daughters, Marilyn (Robert) Schmitz, of Kalida, Shirley (Ken) Kleman, of Miller City, Teresa (Stephen) Diller, of Vaughnsville, Betty (Jerry) Hoffman, of Miller City, and Rosemary (Ronald) Drummelsmith, of Miller City; a brother, Herman Wolke, of Glandorf; a sister-in-law, Alice Wolke, of Glandorf; 14 grandchildren, Mark Schmitz, Katie Schmitz, Brian (Diane) Kleman, Amanda (Chris) Slick, Andrew Birchmeier, Ashley Birchmeier, Darcie Hoffman, Chelsea Hoffman, Alisha Hoffman, Bryce Hoffman, Brittany Drummelsmith, Jordan Drummelsmith, Caleb Morman, and Grace Morman; and two great-grandchildren, Rebecca Slick and Molly Kleman.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Bernard Wolke.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St Anthony Catholic Church, Columbus Grove. The Rev. Charles Obinwa will officiate. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery, Columbus Grove.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, where there will be a rosary service at 8 p.m. Monday.
