Cairo, Ohio Martha A. Kohler, age 83, died at 3:31 a.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Hospice Unit, Lima, Ohio. She was born on May 24, 1933, in Lima to Russel E. and Velma (Carey) Dackin. They both preceded her in death. She married Richard N. Kohler and he preceded her in death on April 5, 2003. Martha is survived by two sons: Norman and Thomas Kohler both of Cairo; two brothers: Richard "Dick" Dackin of Cairo and Gary Dackin of Olathe, KS. She was preceded in death by five sisters: Marcile Siebeneck, Helen Stephens, Ruth Steele, Marguerite Dackin and Dorothy Eastman. Martha was a homemaker and had worked at the former Newbury's 5 & 10 Store in Lima. She was a day care provider for the elderly. Martha was a member of the Cairo United Methodist Church. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, July 23, 2016, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Pastor Ruth Ann Scoby will officiate. Burial will in Truro Cemetery, Columbus Grove, at a later date. Friends may call from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm on Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at hartmansonsfuneralhome.com. The family would like to thank the following nurses and staff: Cridersville Medical Health Center, St. Rita's Medical Center, Hospice Unit at St. Rita's Medical Center, and also the Interim Healthcare Providers throughout the years, for the excellent care that was given to their mother.
