Marlene Cartwright Obituary
Marlene L. Cartwright, age 87, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, Ohio. She was born March 8, 1937, in Bluffton, Ohio, to Roy and Mary (Nusbaum) Herr. On December 3, 1955, she married Thomas H. Cartwright, who passed away February 17, 2011.
Marlene is survived by her son Thomas “Tom” (Jennie) Cartwright, her daughters Teresa (Bob) Huff and Stacy (John Scott) Shaw, and one sister Sharon (Victor) Chase. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jason (Jessica) Cartwright, Travis (Mary) Cartwright, Allison (Tyson) Whitacre, Andrew (Katy) Conkright, Brian (Stephanie) Huff, Angela (Matt) Dillon, Jeremy (Bayley) Klausing, Alaina (Andrew Bowman) Shaw, Lauryn Shaw and Kamryn Shaw; along with fifteen great grandchildren, with one more on the way.
Marlene was a graduate of Pandora High School. She was a previous owner, along with her husband Tom, of Kenny’s Lunch in Columbus Grove, and The Pizzeria. Marlene loved working in her yard and garden, games, puzzles, and most of all, spending time with her family. Marlene was a lifelong Christian and lived by her faith.
Friends may call at Hartman Sons Funeral Home in Columbus Grove on Thursday, August 8, 2024, from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Funeral services will be held at Hartman Sons Funeral Home on Friday, August 9, 2024 at 11:00am with Pastor Gary Homan presiding. Burial will follow in Truro Cemetery, Columbus Grove, Ohio.
