Mark Russel Zimmerly's Obituary
Mark R. Zimmerly, 75, of Columbus Grove, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the Meadows of Ottawa. Born in Lima, Ohio, he was the son of the late Clayton and Barbara (Montgomery) Zimmerly. On January 26, 1996, he married Patrice McGinnis who survives.
He is survived by children, Isaac (Dusti) Zimmerly, Anna Deckard, Marcie Garcia and Katherine (Joseph) Schroeder; sisters, Marty (Paul) Augsburger and Janean (Scott) Augsburger; eight grandchildren, Crimson, Alexis, Lukis, Damon, Elly, Nico, Max and Rylie; and great grandson, Milo; and sister-in-law, Cheryl Zimmerly. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Daniel R. Zimmerly.
Mark proudly served his country in US Army and was a past member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa. He is a retired Staff Sargent from the Hancock County Sheriff's Office. He also worked for Bluffton Police Department, Fortman Chevrolet and Braun Ambulances where he retired in 2010. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, traveling and karaoke. He loved watching his grandkids play sports.
