Marjorie Early Obituary
Lima Marjorie Grace Early, 88, died at 10:20 p.m. July 29, 2011, at Shawnee Manor. She was born Nov. 6, 1922, in Van Wert to Alonzo and Maude McKanna DeCamp, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 21, 1945, she married Robert R. Early, who died Jan. 21, 1986. Mrs. Early was a graduate of Spencerville High School. She was a homemaker, having worked at the Lima Tank Plant during World War II and Northland Lanes for 40 years. She attended Sugar Creek Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, cooking and baking, but her real joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include three daughters, Doris Everett, of Lima, Sharon (Ron) Doseck, of Lima, and Ruby (Mike) Estes, of Elida; 10 grandchildren, Kristin (Rich) Sutton, David Everett, Jim Everett, Ryan (Jennifer) Betts, Nicole (John) Ernest, Angie (Kevin) Dawdy, Ashley (Gabe) Young, Christa McClain, Becky (George) Henderson and Craig Betts; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Early; two grandsons, Shane Estes and Lance Estes; a son-in-law, Robert Betts; and nine siblings, Lois Sargeant, Carl DeCamp, Olive Shenk, Audrey Edmiston, Earl DeCamp, Ralph DeCamp, Gail DeCamp, Ruth Thomas and Myles "Red" DeCamp. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Her nephew, Mike DeCamp, will officiate. Burial will be in Truro Cemetery, Columbus Grove. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the services Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Rita's Hospice 959 W.
