Marie Daugherty Obituary
Marie Helen (Sneary) Daugherty went home to be with her heavenly Father, September 2, 2013, at Mt. St. Frances nursing home, Colorado Springs where she had lived for the past year. She had resided in Colorado with her daughter Carol Everett for the 10 years. Marie was born March 27, 1914, in Columbus Grove to Russell and Effie Sneary, who preceded her in death, the first of six children born to them. Her two brothers Norman and Earl Sneary survive, Gerald, Donald and Edna Jean preceded her in death. Marie graduated from Columbus Grove High School in 1932. She married Alfred (Fritz) Daugherty in 1934 he preceded her in death in 1986. They had four children, Kay Tippenhauer, Carol Everett and Earl Daugherty who survive and Steven A. Daugherty preceded her in death. She was a grandmother , great grandmother and great great grandmother to many. Marie had graduated from Toledo Hospital school of Nursing and became an LPN in the 1960's. She had also learned to drive and swim at that same time. She lived in the Toledo area from 1944 to the mid 1970's, when she moved back to Columbus Grove, Ohio. Graveside service will begin at 11:00 am at Truro Cemetery on October 12, 2013, Pastor Don Bethan will officiate.
