Margaret "Maggie" Warnecke Obituary
Columbus Grove, Ohio Margaret L. "Maggie" Warnecke, 69, died at 3:51 a.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio. She was born on September 26, 1945 in Leipsic, Ohio, to Norbert and Florence (Kleman) Niese. They both preceded her in death. On November 15, 1967, she married Wilfred L. "Bill" Warnecke. He died on December 30, 1971. Mrs. Warnecke was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and the Altar Rosary Society, Columbus Grove, and a member of the St. Michael's CLC, Kalida. She retired from Kalida Local Schools, where she was a cook. Maggie enjoyed playing cards, bingo, crocheting, needlepoint, working on puzzles and especially playing games with her grandchildren. She is survived by a son: Michael (Carol) Warnecke, Kalida; a daughter: Patricia (Darren) Langhals, Columbus Grove; ten grandchildren: Quinton, Karenna, Garrett, Tayte, Aneesa, Jevin, Brennen, Caelan, Siena and Therez; two brothers: Virgil (Margaret) Niese, Leipsic and Joseph (Joann) Niese, Ottawa; three sisters: Betty (Donald) Recker, Glandorf, Leoma (Harold) Balbaugh, Miller City and Agnes (Robert) Maag, Glandorf; and one sister in-law: Eileen Niese, Leipsic. Mrs. Warnecke was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Cyra Elizabeth Warnecke and a brother: Richard Niese. Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Father Tom Extejt will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Kalida. Friends may call on Friday from 2:00-8:00 p.m., at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, where a Rosary will be held at 4:30 p.m.. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony Church or the Putnam County Fairgrounds Committee. Online condolences may be expressed at hartmansonsfuneralhome.com.
