M. Makley Obituary
Columbus Grove, Ohio M. Jeanette Makley, 87, died at 12:34 p.m, Monday, August 21, 2017, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was born July 27, 1930, in Columbus Grove, to Carl and Marguerite (Hamel) Kurber. They both preceded her in death. On June 20, 1959, she married James J. Makley, who died April 8, 2004. Jeanette is survived by one son: Thomas J. (Meghan) Makley of Bowling Green; one daughter: Susan R. (Bruce) Schroeder of Whitehouse; nine grandchildren: Nichole (Ken) Merchut, Justin (Taylor) Makley, Marshall Makley, Carson Makley, Charles Makley, Kyle (Alexandra) Schroeder, Kurt (Katie) Schroeder, Tyler (Hilary) Schroeder and Kristen Schroeder; three great grandchildren; one brother: Rev. Robert F. Kurber of Orlando, Fl; one sister: Carole A. (Dennis) Hoyt of Columbus Grove; brothers in-law: David (Lynda) Makley and Robert Makley, both of Lima, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Mary E. (Dan) Davis and Ruth C. (Darwin) Prowant and in-laws: Leo (Jeanne) Winters, Richard (Virginia) Makley, Marylee Makley and Carolyn Makley. Jeanette was employed for 57 years by Triplett Corp, Bluffton, in Engineering and Customer Service. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Altar Rosary Sodality and CLC of the church. She enjoyed gardening, yard work, but the thing she cherished most was spending time with her family including grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. Services will begin at 10:00 am Monday, August 28, 2017, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Columbus Grove. Father Robert F. Kurber and Father Tom Extejt will co-officiate with burial to follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 pm, Sunday, August 27, 2017, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, where a CLC Rosary service and scripture service will be held at the close of visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony's Church or St. Anthony's School Endowment. Online condolences may be expressed at hartmansonsfuneralhome.com.
