COLUMBUS GROVE Luisa Maglinte, 88, died at 3:15 p.m. June 10, 2011, at The Meadows of Glandorf in Ottawa. She was born Aug. 25, 1922, in Cebu City, Philippines, to Santiago and Anatalia Caburnay Basiliote, who preceded her in death. She married Teodocio O. Maglinte, who died April 2, 1995. Mrs. Maglinte attended St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus Grove. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, going to her grandchildren's sporting events, playing bingo and watching TV. Survivors include two sons, Sotero (Virginia) Maglinte, of Lapu-Lapu City, Philippines, and Eduardo (Marjorie) Maglinte, of Cebu City, Philippines; five daughters, Carol (Dave) Hoffman, of Columbus Grove, Marcelinda (Gerald) Husted, of Columbus Grove, Arlene Markie, of Las Vegas, and Benita Aballe and Alijandra Maglinte, both of Cebu City, Philippines; 16 grandchildren, Ali (Nick Gilgenbach) Hoffman and Mary Maglinte, both of Columbus Grove, Terrell and Biaca Markie, of Las Vegas, and 12 more in the island of Cebu City, Philippines; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Benjamin Maglinte. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Columbus Grove. The Rev. Tom Oedy will officiate. Burial will be in Cebu City, Philippines. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 to 9:40 a.m. Tuesday at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, where a special rosary service will be at 8 p.m. today and a prayer service at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday
