Louise Mae Darby's Obituary
Louise M. Darby, 85, of Columbus Grove, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, in Findlay, Ohio. Born in Dola, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Byron H. and Sylvia (Poe) Shields. On September 7, 1958, she married Thomas J. Darby, Jr., who survives.
She is survived by sons, Thomas J. (Susan) Darby and Todd J. Darby; grandchildren, Deedra (Morvin) Dixon, AJ (Kay) Darby, Kelly Darby, Jennifer (Caleb) Zachrich, Ryan Darby, Thomas J. Darby, IV, Danielle (Dusty) Cox, and Michelle (Ricky Thornton) Darby; great grandchildren, Oliver Cox, Willow Zachrich, Beau Cox, Casey Thornton, Easton Zachrich, Jordi Thornton, Ezra Dixon, Micah Dixon and Josiah Dixon; sisters, Patricia McDougle and Roberta (Ronald) Young. She is also preceded in death by siblings, Harold "Jack" Shields, Rose Conley and Rella (T.J.) Boring, and brother-in-law, Dennis McDougle.
Louise worked at Fort Jennings State Bank for 21 years and Hawkey's Pharmacy for 21 years. She was a member of St. John's Community Church. She liked bowling and softball, loved to socialize and never met a stranger. She especially loved spoiling her grandchildren.
