Linda Schumacher Obituary
Columbus Grove, Ohio Linda Jane Schumacher, 65, died at 3:37 am, Friday, October 5, 2018 at her home. She was born September 6, 1953, in Toledo, to Don Waggoner and Treva Bogart. They both preceded her in death. On October 22, 1972, she married Joseph M. Schumacher and he survives. Linda is also survived by one daughter, Christine (Greg) Schroeder; two sons, Thomas (Leslie) Schumacher and Jason (Alissia) Schumacher; eight grandchildren, Hope, Grace, Shay, Ella, Myrisa, Anna, Nora and Scarlett; one brother, Lee (Kathie) Bogart and one sister Pam (Mark) Macke. Linda was a graduate of Columbus Grove High School, class of 1971, after which she graduated from the Lima Technical School of Nursing, as an RN. She then went on to Bluffton College where she earned a Bachelors in Organizational Management. She worked at BP Chemical as an Occupational Health and Safety Nurse. Linda served on the Ohio and National Boards of Occupational Health Nursing, having traveled thru out the United States and Great Britain, educating others on Occupational Health. Linda was a member of the Vaughnsville Community Church, where she organized the weekly children's ministry of the church, known today as "The Kids Club." She was also a member of the "Evening Guild" ladies group. Some of her favorite things included, vacations at the lake, fishing and being with family and friends. Linda enjoyed her children's and grandchildren's school activities and sporting events. Services will begin at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at Vaughnsville Community Church, with visitation from 10:00 am until time of the service. Pastor Tom Brown will officiate with burial to follow in Vaughnsville Cemetery. Friends may call Monday October 8, 2018, from 2:00-8:00 pm at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Memorial Contributions may be made to the National Parkinson's Foundation. Online condolences may be expressed at hartmansonsfuneralhome.com.
