Columbus Grove, Ohio Lawrence B. Stechschulte, 81, died at 8:07 p.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at St. Clare Commons, Perrysburg, Ohio. Born July 23, 1933 near Columbus Grove, Ohio to Lawrence H. and Loretta (Meyer) Stechschulte who preceded him in death. On July 31, 1954, he married Margaret Ellerbrock who preceded him in death by 20 days. He was a graduate of Beaverdam High School. Lawrence was retired owner of Stechschulte Cabinets. He was a past member of the Lima Carpenters, local #372. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Columbus Grove and former past president of its Holy Name Society. He was a charter member of the Columbus Grove Knights of Columbus and a member of the Ottawa Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #2234. Survivors include three sons, Kim (Vickie) Stechschulte of Versailles, Ky, Ted (Donna) Stechschulte of Maumee, OH and Robert (Sharon) Stechschulte of Findlay, OH and a daughter Pamela (Steve) Bartlett of Xenia, OH. Other survivors include one sister Helen Schroeder of Ottawa, OH, 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and over 20 foster great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers Leonard and Thomas; three sisters Irene Recker, Bertha Steffes, and Sally Schroeder; and a grandson Brian Stechschulte. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, March 9, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Columbus Grove, with his Godson Rev. Odo Recker and Father Tom Extejt as co-officiate. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2015, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove.
