Larry A Runneals' Obituary
Larry A. Runneals, of Cairo, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, surrounded by his wife and children at St. Rita's Medical Center. Born in Lima he was the son of the late Tommie and Dorothy (Jennings) Runneals. He married Nadean (Boyle) Runneals on December 24, 1993, who survives in Cairo.
He retired after 32 years from Bath High School where he coached football from 1974 to 1997, was the head baseball coach for 8 years. He also coached football from 1997 to 2014 at Shawnee High School. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Cairo. He enjoyed his grandchildren, people watching and woodworking.
He is survived by his children, Candy (Keith) Armstrong, Ryan (Melissa) Runneals, Erik (Emily) Runneals, Tasha (Ian) Kell, Morgan (Ryan) Catlett and Trey (Amber) Runneals; brother James (Cyndi) Runneals; sisters Linda Runneals and Janice (Thad) Jesko; grandchildren Brittany, Tyler, Collin, Megan, Amaya, Aubrey, Bryn, Kiara, Ethan, Kyizer, Arianna, Tristan, Max, Seth, Dyrrick, Dylani, Gwen and Ruby; and 3 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Susan Runneals. He was also preceded in death by brother Terry M. Runneals.
Funeral Service is 3 pm Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Hartman-Rousculp Community Funeral Home, 10879 SR OH-12 Columbus Grove with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 Friday, March 21, 2025, at the funeral home. Preferred memorials can be made to the Athletic Department at Bath High School.
