Karl Kiene Obituary
Karl F. Kiene, age 86, passed away on October 10, 2024, at his home in Lima, Ohio. Karl was born to John S. and Anastasia (Trudeau) Kiene on October 26, 1937 in Columbus Grove, Ohio, both of whom preceded him in death.
Karl was a graduate of Columbus Grove High School and a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Columbus Grove. He retired as a millwright after many years of service at Ford Motor Company in Lima. Karl was an avid sports fan, especially when it came to the Ohio State Buckeyes. He really enjoyed watching his grandkids play sports and helping on the farm.
Karl is survived by his son Todd (Kathy) Kiene of Ottawa, his daughters Tracy (Mark) Hall and Terry Kiene, both of Lima, his brother Alton Kiene, and sisters Eileen (Pat) Asher, and MaryAnn Meihls. He is also survived by seven grandchildren Justin Hall, Sheldon (Taylor) Hall, Jennifer (Ryan) Schumaker, Aaron Kiene, Ashley Kiene, Hailee (Nate) Patrick, and Clayton Kiene; and ten great grandchildren Darren, Corinne, Axel, Sladen, Emmett, Aiden, Noah, Braxlee, Mackinlee, and Wrenlee. Karl was preceded in death by his sisters Theresa Fisher and Joann Schroeder, and his brother Cornelius Kiene.
Friends may call on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, from 10:00am until time of service at Noon, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home in Columbus Grove. Funeral service will begin at Noon with Father David Ritchie presiding. Burial to follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Columbus Grove, Ohio.
