COLUMBUS GROVE — Joseph E. Morman, 66, died at 10:05 a.m. Dec. 15, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center. He was born Feb. 20, 1946, in Columbus Grove to Bernard and Mary Schroeder Morman, who preceded him in death. On Nov. 28, 1970, he married Alice M. Klausing, who survives. Mr. Morman was a 1964 graduate of Columbus Grove High School. He was a carpenter for 22 years, then retired from maintenance at Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa. He was a life member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Columbus Grove. He enjoyed farming and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors also include two sons, Mike Morman, of Columbus Grove, and Greg Morman, of Toledo; two daughters, Jennifer (Shawn) Edson, of Imlay City, Mich., and Beth Morman, of Columbus Grove; six brothers, William (Lucy) Morman, of Columbus Grove, Carl (Marilyn) Morman, of Glandorf, and Robert (Judy) Morman, Edward (Jeanette) Morman, Ben Morman and Pat Morman, all of Columbus Grove; three sisters, Florence (Ben) Niese, of Leipsic, Mary Morman, of Columbus Grove, and Julie (Steve) Rieman, of Ottawa; and six grandchildren; Emily Held and Jacob, Ross, Zach, Sam and Paityn Edson. He was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Morman. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Columbus Grove. Father Tom Extejt will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, where a rosary service will be held at 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony School Endowment Fund or St. Anthony Catholic Church.
