Vaughnsville, Ohio Joseph "Joe" Royal Shaver, 61, died Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born December 7, 1957, in Lima, to Joseph and Charlotte (Bach) Shaver. They both preceded him in death. On March 11, 2015, he married Amanda J. Baker, who survives in Vaughnsville. Joe is survived by four sons: Zach Shaver, Brandon Shaver, Waylon Lathrop and John Gracie; four daughters: Megan Pratt, Tara Shaver, Sophia Carter and Sarah Gracie; several grandchildren, sharing a special bond with Ambrazhay Shaver; one brother: Tom Metzger and one sister: Lisa Anderson. He was preceded in death by a brother: Vince Shaver and a sister: Daylene Reid. Joe was a graduate of Bath high School, class of 1976. He was a Union Contracted Painter. He enjoyed collecting antiques, fishing, outdoor activities and spending time with his family. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
