Elida, Ohio John Robert "Jack" Malatesta, 65, died Sunday, October 14, 2018, at his home. He was born in Wapakoneta, Ohio on September 4, 1953, to Leo and Ellen (Kelly) Malatesta. They both preceded him in death. He had married Joy Shindeldecker Moreo, who survives. Jack, a devoted father and loving husband, is also survived by three sons, Daniel (Carrie) Malatesta, Dustin Malatesta and Andrew Malatesta all of Wapakoneta; one brother, Stan Malatesta of Wapakoneta and two sisters, Mary (Chris) Malatesta-Head and Jane Malatesta-Boger both of Wapakoneta. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Neil, Mark and Brad Malatesta. Jack was a graduate of St. Joseph High School, Wapakoneta, class of 1971. He had attended Ohio State University.
