John "Jack" Sisson Obituary
John H. "Jack" Sisson, 79, died at 1:10 a.m. Jan. 27, 2012, at St. Rita's Medical Center. He was born Aug. 24, 1932, in Galion to Amos and Martha (Johnson) Sisson, who preceded him in death. On May 25, 1959, he married Shirley A Lemar, who died Dec. 25, 2003. Mr. Sisson attended Columbus Grove High School and served in the U.S. Army. He had worked for and retired from Philips Corp., formerly of Ottawa. He was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church of Columbus Grove. He and his wife Shirley had enjoyed going camping with his family. They would go the Boonsboro and Renfro Valley, KY. His daughters all remember him as a good and caring father. Survivors include seven daughters, Jackie Miller, Columbus Grove, Mary (Wayne D.) Ellis, Lima, Helen (Dale D.) Radabaugh, Van Wert, Jane Lyons, Lima, Sue Sisson, Ottawa, Juanita (James) Egri, and Martha Sisson both of Columbus Grove, 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, a nephew Wayne (Wanda) Sisson, Lima, and a niece Judy (Larry) Cattel, Cairo. He was preceded in death by a son John H. Sisson, Jr., two brothers and two sisters. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Monday January 30, 2012 at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Pastor Gary Ginter will officiate. Burial will be in Truro Cemetery, Columbus Grove, with military rites. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2012 at the funeral home.
