Jay was a great neighbor, as I grew up as a child on Slabtown Rd. & recently on Searfoss Rd. Everytime I ran into him  at the West Ohio Food Bank board meetings or while farming, Jay was always friendly & helpful.  He will be missed greatly!.He is in our thoughts & prayers..
Jay was someone who will be missed. He made me laugh, and was always willing to help someone in need. He had a dry wit and would say something with that hidden grin that would take you completely by surprise and make you laugh. Â He was constantly on the move doing something, wether it was on the farm, helping Stephanie with her crafts or around the house, or his kids, grandkids, or the community at large. Â I think the only time I saw him at rest was after a huge family meal where he would Be sacked out in the living room. He was a wonderful father, husband, and just a good man. If he saw a problem he was one of this first in line to try to find a solution. He knew how to laugh and enjoy life, and be a pillar of strength when needed. Â I am so sorry to see him go, leaving us to miss him and all that he gave to everyone around him. Â I hope that remembering him in all the good times will in time help in this time of grief. May the family and all his loved ones find peace in the trying time ahead and remember him joy and love. He will be really missed.
Jay Begg was always kind and spoke to us at the fair. Thanks for sharing him with the community. May you cherish all the special memories of him. Comfort and prayers to the family
