Jo Ann Tate Donaldson, 92, died Sunday, January 19, 2014, 1:10 P. M. at her home, near Columbus Grove, Ohio. She was born November 12, 1921 in Ottawa, Ohio, to Frank and Burdelle (Culp) Tate, who preceded her in death. On January 27, 1944, she married Owen J. Donaldson, who died May 3, 1993. Jo Ann graduated from Columbus Grove High School, Class of 1939. She received her nursing degree (RN) from the Flower Hospital School of Nursing, Toledo, Ohio. For many years, she worked with Dr. Walter E. Martin, M. D. in Columbus Grove, as his office nurse. After Dr. Martin retired, she worked at Total Care Nursing Home, Ottawa, and Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora. She was a member of the Columbus Grove Christian Church. Survivors include a daughter, Carol (Vaughn) Zook, Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and two sons, Tedd (Deb) Donaldson and John (Rita) Donaldson, both of Columbus Grove. There are 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great- great granddaughter. Her brother, Dean Tate, preceded her in death. There will be private family visitation only. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, January 22, 2014, 11:00 A. M., at the Columbus Grove Christian Church. Pastor Geoffery Eubank will officiate. Burial will be at Truro Cemetery, Columbus Grove, Ohio. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. You may express on line condolences at hartmansonsfuneralhome.com.
